thA_4k: Red Protoss
This is the first of many ffa's that me, 4k and Alv played during this short period of bnet grace (with NetZero). So, I started off in the middle right, 4k in the left right, and Alv right in the spot BELOW 4k...bottom left-ish.
None of us had played this map bfore, and as I looked around with my little SCV I noticed that there were 3 or 4 entrances around my base.. deng.. that kind of stuff pisses me off. Like, making u feel vulnerable and shit..ESPECIALLY in ffa. Well quick as a needle Alv comes in with his probe while I'm doing my 8 scv double depot build. He HAS to make a smartass comment..
"ooh, I like the way your supply depots get in my way, val"
"dammit alv, shut up!!"
"grrr.. hehe"
In the meanwhile 4k is being really quiet, and I suspect something is up, like a DT attack or sumshit so I get kinda paranoid and make my engineering bay. Here is a later account of what & why 4k wasn't seen in the early game.
"i start by getting cannons, dtemps, then normal temps with storm in that
order. i started scoutin the map wit 9thprobe and went clockwise which
is y it took me ages to find u2.
soon after alv comes in to my base wit dts, but i got cannons and i

I'm sure alv noticed 4k's base right above his, and wanted to deal with it, as they were so close together it would be dangerous merely to sneeze without something shooting at something else.. Me, at this point wanted to kill 4k cuz I knew he was doing some super-powerful weird tactic to kill us or something... I opted for a tank drop w/ vessel support.. I loaded up 2 dropshits and took it with 1 vessel to the south side of 4k's base, and started to unload. I did not know the location of Alveron's base then.
So neways I got all my tanks and marines set to the right location, and then they started firing away.. I'm telling myself, yeah, gonna kik 4k's base.. only I noticed that it WASN't 4k's base that I was shooting at!! It was Alv's!... I was like, uhmm... oops.. Since they were so close together I thought that one of them was a colony or something but obviously not, I was also confused about red/orange looking the same.. 4k was like.. DOH! heh. Well alvs resistance troops came and were too much for my small guerilla squad so I had to pull out.. right into 4k's photon-happy main base (which I forgot about.. argh)
I decide to fully concentrate on fighting Alv for a while. Instead of dropping tanks, I move 4-5 of them with marine + wraith support to the other side (the east side, or right side) of Alv's base where he has 1 expansion.
POoomp.! POoomp.!... I dont know why Alv didnt fight back much at that one, but 4k explains away wat I do not see..
"I jump to observers so i can bust out without dts annoyin me,
then i get 2 forges and upgrade shields n gattack, also getting goon
range. i put up3 gateways and asspump goons...
THEN i hear alv go "les gang up on 4K, val" and i was more than ready to
take u both on...but u ended up attakin alv cause orange n red same shit
right?
so my ob looks on as ur tanks fire away at alv...
i didn't know wat became of that attack, but soon after alv comes
marchin to my base wit z's goons n a templar or 2.
i see him commin at me wit my ob at one of his undefended entraces.." -4Kkk
I think he meant to come at me with his z's + goons but ran into 4k's forces by accident. So neways I killt the colony, advance to his main, and then Alv starts telling us that he's being "double-teamed"... I lift my attack force with some dropshits and bring them to my buddin expansion in the middle.
"So i choke him on a bridege wit goons n temps...then i IMMEDIATELY
counter his attak wit 24 goons n 4temps in a shuttle and WIPE out his
main base and while alv's dying he goes "val, 4ks got an exp topleft" "4k vals got
exp in middle"(even tho i knew already cause i saw u buildin it up wit
an ob, was just too busy killin alv to deal wit ya =P) " -4Kkk
I already knew that 4k had an exp topleft, in fact I had 1 wraith fighting his little probules.. I was kinda dum that game neways, I should have sent like 5 or something. Alv's main base had died, and he had a colony up top right which I was GOING to attack using my previous assault force, but for 4k.. grr..
"So wit all the remainin goons that i attaked alv wit i run up to your exp in
the middle to be raped by tanks n bunker....like i lost all my goons so
fast it wasn't funny, but durin that i'd got another exp at bottom left =)"
Well I reloaded my dropshit and went to totally kill his exp at top left, cuz I didnt know about his bottom left exp yet. .grr. I think during the skirmish that occured from my presence up there, I somehow lost both tanks and was unable to press an advancement. But 4k didnt make more probes there neways so I considered that a success. Not 3 minutes pass, and I fear that 4k is going to come attack my exp again, this time with MORE troops. And Alv who I was not bothering at all ALSO comes down with a frikking zeAlOt madnEss!! ..
well then i got together some corsairs wit web and some more goons and
ran into your middle exp again, this time i webbed everything and even
alv was there to join the party =P. then u nuked yourself....
and during that i expanded again to another spot between my main and
topleft.
Seeing this, I sensed that the end was indeed near for me, so I decided to nuke my colony (while the baddies were running amok inside it) bfore they got my nuclear silo destroyed. hehe.. So my middle colony got creamed, and that was the only expansion I had for some reason. Alv still had like 30-40 zelots I'm guessing and he marches RIGHT into my base, and wreaks amazing amounts of death and destruction (since I like, used the troops to fight in the middle, but then I nuked it so wtfever..) and laying me down and taking me out of the fight. Well I wasnt technically DEAD so to speak but I had a flying CC with no minerals and no SCVs. From here on, 4k just started to kill everything of alvs wherever possible.
"now i'd basically won...so since it was safe to start gettin carriers i
go ahead n do so.
and somewhere along the way u died to alvs billion zealots...
then i basically raped alv wit carriers n goons as his zealots watched
and then it was game over
i basically took map and gooned everyone to death =P"
Cuz zealots SUCK vs. Carriers + Goons. And thats all alv had. ZeaLots! heh.
Well that was a pretty nice game, more of the same coming up soon, boyz.
